We don’t set hard limits on data transfer (bandwidth) for our web hosting plans. All plans come with “unmetered” bandwidth, which means you’re not charged based on how much data you use, and there are no surprise fees for higher traffic.
You get unmetered data transfer so you can comfortably host personal sites, small business websites, or community projects—and grow without worry as your audience increases. Our goal is to give you the freedom and resources you need to build a strong online presence, and for 99% of our customers, the included disk space and bandwidth are more than enough.
That said, bandwidth—like any shared resource—is not unlimited. To keep everything running smoothly for everyone, we monitor our shared servers for unusually high usage or misuse. We simply ask that all customers follow our Terms of Service and use bandwidth as part of normal personal or small business website operations. In rare cases where usage goes far beyond what’s considered normal, we may need to apply temporary limits to maintain fair performance for all users.
How do you define “normal” usage for web hosting plans?
We regularly review customer bandwidth usage using statistical analysis to understand what typical usage looks like. While numbers may change slightly from month to month, one thing stays consistent: about 99% of our customers fall well within the normal range. Accounts that exceed this range are usually being used for file storage or file sharing instead of website hosting. Since shared hosting isn’t designed for those purposes, we offer alternative plans that are better suited for high-bandwidth needs.
Whenever possible, we aim to give at least 72 hours’ notice so customers have time to make adjustments before we take any action. Based on the analysis of more than 10,000 accounts per hosting plan, here’s the average monthly bandwidth usage:

Clear Answers to Your Most Common Questions
A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is a virtual machine that runs its own operating system and gives you dedicated access to server resources—without the usual limitations of shared hosting.
For most hosting needs, a VPS performs much like a dedicated server but at a lower cost. It’s flexible, scalable, and offers built-in redundancy that many physical servers don’t provide.
VidoHost VPS servers run on a fully redundant SSD cloud infrastructure, making them a great choice for high-traffic websites and resource-heavy applications.
With Shared Hosting, multiple websites use the same pool of server resources. Because of this setup, there are limits on how much each account can use at any given time.
Shared hosting is affordable and works well for smaller websites, but high-traffic or resource-demanding projects often need more flexibility and power than shared environments allow.
A VPS is a perfect middle ground—it’s far more powerful than shared hosting and much more affordable than a fully dedicated server.
VPS users also get advanced control, including superuser access, the ability to create unlimited hosting accounts, install custom software, and fully manage resource allocation without affecting other users.
You don’t need technical expertise to use your server. All FastCloud services include the easy-to-use cPanel/WHM control panel, allowing you to manage your websites without system administration skills.
And if you ever need help, our friendly 24/7 technical support team is always available as part of our fully managed service.
